LINKIN PARK Pleased To Play Bigger Places
February 26, 2008The Pulse of Radio reports: LINKIN PARK has been playing some of the biggest venues of the band's career on its most recent stretches of touring, including two nights at London's O2 Arena and a sold-out show last week at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden. Bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell didn't hesitate when asked whether he ever misses playing smaller places like clubs. "The correct answer is probably yes, but in a lot of cases for me, it is nicer to be playing places like Madison Square Garden," he said. "It's definitely exciting to be able to come into a building and just look around and see like the history that's happened here, and to kind of be able to be, even if a tiny portion of it, to be able to be a part of that, I think for me is really special."
LINKIN PARK's current tour next stops in Nashville on Tuesday night (February 26).
The band will take a break from the trek on Wednesday (February 27) to help build two new homes in the hurricane-ravaged New Orleans area. They'll be joined by opening act COHEED AND CAMBRIA, two contest winners, and volunteers from Habitat For Humanity and LINKIN PARK's Music For Relief foundation, through which money was raised for the new homes.
